Waiting for the Wolf

                Beneath the superficial surface of the fairytale lies a profound darkness.

Objects: The presence of the object, in a particular place, coupled with the absence of the owner

                permits imaginative allusion to begin. Mythological significance subverts truth.

Words:   Standalone objects, obscure meanings, straining under the weight of their

               psychological associations.

                And yet, when positioned together magically reveal an intuitive narrative, (or song).

I made my song a coat
Covered with
embroideries
Out of old mythologies
From heel to throat;
But the fools caught it,
Wore it in the world's eyes
As though they'd wrought it.
Song, let them take it,
For there's more enterprise
In walking naked
