Perfectly Still: exhibited in 2009 at Bridge View Gallery Aberdeen as part of the "Still" exhibition. This body of work reflects my interest in the notion of psychological space, whilst embracing the intriguing genre of “Still Life”. I am fascinated by an objects ability to create narrative when placed within the photographic plane. Whilst the object bears the mark of the hand which placed it there, it conceals from the viewer the intended purpose of its presence. It speaks of mystery and fragmented reality. It represents ideas both of an anonymous venue and hidden history, whilst the medium of photography, in its capacity to deceive, reveals only a selected view of circumstances.
